Flaxby Country Resort
The £100 million Flaxby Country Resort will be the biggest luxury hotel in the North of England.
The five-star Flaxby Country Club will include over 300 rooms, three restaurants, luxury spa complex, bars and boutiques, set around a 27 hole golf course - nestling in nearly 300 acres of rolling North Yorkshire countryside.
Work will start in early 2010 this year and is set for completion by the end of 2011.
Located between Harrogate and York, The Flaxby Country Resort will offer unrivalled luxury with individual rooms being sold to investors, offering guaranteed returns.
Ryder Cup legend Lee Westwood has been signed up to redesign the existing golf course, put in an academy and become the touring pro from 2011.
This hotel and spa will be the North of England’s premier destination for business, leisure and all special occasions. It will boost the local and regional economy and be the last word in luxury travel experience. It will offer the facilities, opulence and service of a Park lane hotel, but be set in beautiful Yorkshire Countryside.
The complex will also feature conference facilities, nature trails throughout the grounds and a floodlit hour driving range.
Returns for the hotel rooms are guaranteed for three years. This investment is also available to put into SIPPS to make it tax efficient. The Skelwith Group is setting up a SIPP vehicle for clients to use.
The development will create over 400 jobs at all levels for local people and is expected to boost the local and regional economy.

The five star Raithwaite Hall Country Retreat hotel development in Whitby, North Yorkshire will be a sister hotel the Flaxby.
The development will include a 44 bedroom hotel featuring a state-of-the-art spa, set in over 80 acres of majestic landscaped gardens featuring fishing lakes, waterfalls and botanical gardens.
A fine dining restaurant and luxury bar will also be included, as well as a conference and function area to seat up to 180 people. The spa totals 6,000 sq ft and will feature the latest treatments and technology making it one of the most impressive in the North of England.
Work is due to start in the coming weeks with completion expected in mid 2011.
Aspire
This high profile mixed use scheme will be completed in November 2009, transforming this eyesore site into one of the finest developments in the city.
‘Aspire’ located in Bootham, a stone’s throw from the city walls, will take a year to complete and transform this eyesore site with a modern and stylish design that the site demands.
The apartments will link in with the hotel’s concierge service to offer local knowledge and advice, meeting all needs of people staying there.

Woolston Warehouse, Bradford
This £25 million scheme will transform a derelict warehouse on the edge of the city centre into a vibrant new community through a mixed use development.
The £25 million development will see the retention of the existing Woolston warehouse building, on Tetley Street, and complemented by new development next to it. The existing building will be transformed into over 100 homes. The second phase will be a 145 bed luxury business hotel with leisure facilities. Set around a central courtyard with a fountain, the development will also feature a designer urban garden.
Phase 1 of the project has been completed and Phase 2 is due to start in early 2010 with completion due in 2011.
Lodge Farm Gardens, York City Centre
This prestigious residential development was completed in September 2009 and has been sold to investors. Located in a prime residential area in York City Centre, the development has been finished to the highest standards. The development comprises of 19 new homes.
